FAQ

At Aloha Motorsports, we take the guess work out of renting a ride. Whether you are renting a Harley Davidson Softail motorcycle, Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle, moped scooter, trike, or electric scooter, there are certain policies in place to keep you safe and to ensure you have a great time.

RENTAL POLICY
The basics are listed below:

1. You need to be at least 21 years old to rent.
2. A major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover) is required for all vehicle rentals. If you don’t have a major credit card, you will need to bring a cash deposit. Not too, much. Just enough to cover any damages.
3. All vehicles with an engine size under 50 cc can only be ridden by one rider at a time. Transporting more than one person is illegal in the state of Hawaii.
4. You need a valid motorcycle license to rent any motorcycle. For 50cc scooters, a normal (valid) drivers license is required.

There are few other things to remember when renting a vehicle from Aloha Motorsports:

1. You’ll always be offered the free use of a safety helmet.
2. We make sure you know how to operate the vehicle before you leave.
3. If you’re ever in an accident you need to report it immediately.
4. You need to follow all regulations in the Hawaii Rules of the Road Handbook.
5. You can only ride on paved roads. Unless you’re renting an off-road vehicle.

Why Rent a Moped?
Why not? Renting a moped or scooter cuts down on vacation frustration. Since you can park a rental scooter or moped pretty much anywhere, you never have the hassles of searching for a park space when you are riding around town. As you ride through town and see a cool shop or attraction, just stop and park the scooter or moped in an easy to find spot with other bicycles. Or slip into any small parking space. It’s that easy. There’s plenty of room under the seat for souvenirs. You’ll have so much fun and you will find the convenience so handy, you’ll end up leaving the rental car at home.
